Oxygen, 60 minutes

Oxygen Chamber

A quiet hour in a soft, seated chamber. We settle you in and stay close, and you decide when it ends.

Design concept of a room with a grey seated oxygen chamber
Illustrative design concept, not a photograph.

The zip closes, the pressure rises slowly, and your ears pop the way they do on a plane. Then it settles. You read, or rest, or watch the light through the window.

What happens on the day

  1. 1ArriveA health check and a walk-through of how the chamber works.
  2. 2SettleCotton clothes, a book if you like, then we close the zip.
  3. 3RestSixty minutes. The pressure changes slowly and we stay close.
  4. 4LingerA few minutes in the lounge with a tea.

What you might notice

Everyone is different. This is what people tell us most.

  • An hour that belongs to you
  • Being looked after, start to finish
  • A slower, steadier pace
  • Time to read, rest or simply sit

Benefits

Inside the chamber the air pressure rises gently above normal. At higher pressure more oxygen dissolves into the blood plasma and reaches tissue that normally gets less. Hospital hyperbaric units use high pressure for specific conditions; ours is a mild-pressure wellness session.

60minutes at mild pressure, supervised throughout
  1. 01Recovery after hard exerciseMore dissolved oxygen reaches tired muscle, which may shorten recovery time
  2. 02Energy and reduced fatigueMany guests report feeling clearer and less tired for a day or two after
  3. 03Sleep and calmAn hour of slow breathing in a quiet, enclosed space
  4. 04Tissue healingAt the much higher pressures used in hospital, oxygen helps stubborn wounds heal; our mild session is gentler
  5. 05A clearer headMany guests say they think more clearly after a few sessions
Session length60minutes in the chamber

Established medical uses of hyperbaric oxygen (decompression sickness, carbon monoxide poisoning, diabetic foot ulcers, radiation injury) are treated in hospital at much higher pressure under a doctor. Our session is not a substitute for that care.
